Stockton University Professor Suspended for Past Harassment Allegations
October 14, 2019A Stockton University professor faces suspension for past sexual harassment and retaliation allegations. Previously, the professor taught at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania and was fired in 2015 after two female students accused him of sexual harassment and subsequent retaliation due to the claims. School officials at Stockton University discovered his history after the professor was hired as a visiting professor. The professor remains suspended while the case is under review by the school.
Oftentimes, sexual harassment allegations may be followed by retaliation measures by the alleged offender. Retaliation methods may include demotions, wrongful termination, or harboring a hostile work environment for the victims who filed claims against the individual. Victims already may contend with consequences such as depression and anxiety, which may adversely affect their ability to perform work-related tasks.
